Happy New Year – 2017!

Hi and a happy New Year to you! I wanted to start the new year out with a huge bang. Be sure to grab your first 2017 download for the year by clicking the calendar below. This month is the complete 2017 monthly calendar- a very basic calendar you can print and write down your important dates. Yes, we will be organized this year- this is my personal New Year’s resolution; getting organized.

Looking at the big picture can really stress me out. I must break this huge picture down and work on smaller sections at a time. This will be my approach with the calendar. I have chosen to use a basic calendar for appointments, days off from work, birthday’s, marking when payments are due, etc. you get the idea. You may wonder how this will help me get organized. Too many times when someone asks me to do something, I immediately agree. Well, this has caused some rather stressful moments at times. My plan is to mark on this calendar everything I am committed to. Before I accept an invite, commit to something- I will first consult my calendar. The easiest will be using the Google calendar. I can pull it up on all of my devices that are connected to the internet. Second, I love software! I downloaded Calendar Creator and will easily be able to import information from my Google calendar to create fun calendars.

The printed calendar is my visual motivation to get and stay organized. I am picturing my goal each time I look at it!

Lesson Learned – Computer Crash

Hi, I certainly hope your Thanksgiving was a family fun filled time! It fills my heart when my husband and I can spend time with both of our kids and their families, my parents and our neighbors. This Thanksgiving we were thankful for such a gathering. We celebrated Thanksgiving on Saturday the 26th. This was perfect- I was home from work on Thursday and Friday which allowed plenty of time to bake without being rushed.

My daughter and her family came over on Friday afternoon and stayed the night. I absolutely cherish that they want to do this and do it often! Brynlee is turning 1 this month. Just yesterday she was a newborn! Our plans were to take pictures. And we did. Once finished Erika asked how soon she could have copies of the pictures. I went to the office to download the files to the computer. Pushing the computer power button, nothing. I pushed it again. It started, whew. I proceeded to open the programs I use to download and edit images and the screen went blank. I tried to power up the computer and nothing. What? I ask myself. Calculating how long I’ve had the computer- close to 9 years. I suspected it was time to get a new computer. At least it was a great time of the year- Black Friday sales. It was certainly a hit to the pocket, but the real pain was remembering where I kept all the licenses for purchased programs over the past 9 years. The email receipts for the programs were on the crashed computer hard drive. I store all of my images onto an external hard drive and even save to CD disks as back up. Never even occurred to me to back up my email files. Lessen learned with this computer crash!

Hi, I’m feeling festive this Valentine season!

Valentine’s is a week from today. It’s not too late to plan that little something. This little something can be as simple as sending a card or note. I have even made it simple for you! Send me your picture and I will email the customized digital file to you. You can either print at home or your favorite printing location. Easy peasy!
