Hi Deb, I just love this time of year. On my drive home one day after work I saw a farmer in his field cutting. I pulled the car over to the side of the road and grab a few images. Then when I was not too far from home I saw this field where it was partially cut. I just had to pull the car over and get a close up pic of the corn. Not sure how many city folk have seen rows of corn up close? 🙂
What great pictures and it reminds me of being a child on the farm. Dad always raised sweet corn and my sister and I would willing husk it. We were always in search of the little baby ears that sometimes grow in the same husk. I don’t ever remember eating them it was just special to find them! Thanks for the memory!
I haven’t seen sweet corn up close like this- just the field corn. I bet it smelled wonderful when you were husking? At least I imagine it smelling sweet!
What beautiful harvest photos! 🙂
