A Wonderful Day.

The Nine

Today was a fun and memorable day. For my husband it began as a typical weekend day, getting up from the cozy, comfortable bed and preparing to go visit the girls at 6:30 am. This is not the typical for me, I generally roll out of the same bed at 8 am on Saturday mornings. Well today, I did the non-typical. I joined Kevin and went to visit his girls.

First he fed them a bit of grain. Then he loaded them up in the trailer to visit the vet for vaccinations and the such. The Vet’s office is a busy office Saturday morning. Met a few new faces. Enjoyed hearing their stories. While visiting with the other’s I noticed the wonderful view of the mailbox. After the girl’s were taken care of, we loaded them back up and brought them home.

Kevin invited me to lunch. We went to Chunkie Dunkers on the north side of the square in Oskaloosa, KS. Really good food, I recommend their food and service.

The family and I had a wonderful time at Wamego just this past Saturday. They were promoting the state of Kansas at the festival in the city park. It was a fun filled day with so much wonderful food, good music and discovering the many beautiful areas in Kansas. I am now set on a mini vacation throughout our beautiful state! Below are a few of the images captured of our day in Wamego. For more information about the Kansas Sampler click here

So much to do and so little time. Have you noticed how everyone is really busy? I’m beginning to believe if you’re not busy, then something it’s right, normal.

My husband and I are tired. Working on family matters that are stressful and draining. The good part- we are now beginning to see through the tough times and the light is beginning to shine. Well just the other day, my mother-in-law sent us a post card. She addressed the envelope to both my husband and I- however, the letter was to me.

As you can see from the above image, I cracked up after reading her message. Just what I needed. Laughter is good for the soul!

If you can, take out that old fashioned pen and paper and write someone a cheerful note. They will not only enjoy hearing from you, but you will leave an everlasting memory for them to cherish.
